I fell in love with a Bengal tiger accidentally named, Richard Parker. Although he has the qualities of a bad boyfriend: cold, a bit selfish and a horrible communicator, I still love him. Maybe it’s the tiger swagger?
Life of Pi based on the novel by Yann Martel, screenplay by David Magee, directed by Ang Lee is a film about an Indian boy left to survive the open ocean with a tiger for 227 days. It is a visually stunning film that is inspiring, hopeful and spiritual. Director Ang Lee did an incredible job honoring the book and bringing it to life. This film is a certain contender for this year’s awards season.

P.S. Did you know 3,000 boys auditioned to play the coveted role of Pi Patel? Newcomer Suraji Sharma won the role and even had to learn how to swim before production started.
