“To hope is to gamble. It’s to bet on your futures, on your desires, on the possibility that an open heart and uncertainty is better than gloom and safety. To hope is dangerous, and yet it is the opposite of fear, for to live is to risk.”

― Rebecca Solnit, Hope in the Dark

Inspired by all the incredible women we met at the Women’s March in Downtown Los Angeles last Saturday, we decided to do a weekly #wcw (Women Crush Wednesday). The focus: powerful women who define brains, beauty and soul.

The march was powerful and much needed as we’ve felt a little lost, scared and uncertain about our future. But the march reminded us of how much power we have. As twin sisters we were raised to build each other UP – we rise together – and that is just what we experienced on Saturday.

So, we dedicate our first #wcw to all the brave and resilient women who continue to give us…hope in the dark. Thank you, Bell Hooks. Thank you, Dr. Maya Angelou. Thank You, Gloria Steinem. Thank you, Dr.Angela Davis. (The list is much longer – but we’ll start there.)

xoxo,

Feven & Helena #twinship
