Happy Super Soul Sunday, Girl!

Thank you all so much for tuning into our Instagram LIVE today. Loved reading your questions and hanging out in IGTV (Instagram TV) land with you.

On today’s show we showed you how Feven makes Helena’s favorite salmon with a super simple lemon butter sauce! Seriously, we can’t tell you how easy it is to make this dish. Just. Trust. Us.

Here’s what you need to make yourself  look like a hero in front of your friends and family without even trying! (And yes…we can do it ALL. #whoruntheworld? …you already know the answer, girl!)

Prep time: 5-8 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

Fresh Salmon (please — if you can — avoid the frozen salmon. It just doesn’t taste the same…frozen fish is like adding a bad filter to food!)

1/2 cup of lemon juice (it can be a generic kind but we perfer Santa Cruz Pure Lemon Juice.)

1/2 lemon (sliced)

Fresh rosemary (if you can — please avoid dried rosemary — trust us!)

3 garlic cloves (minced really well!)

3 tablespoons of salted butter (if this seems like a lot for you — just remember — you can work out the next day! It’s Sunday. Live a little!)

Salt & crush black pepper (please…don’t use packaged pepper for this…you know the one that comes in an envelope.)

Chilly flakes (you know we can’t live without spice…it’s a habesha thing. #hotsauceinmybag)

Cherry tomatoes (sliced…we know it seems tedious but we find that the lemon butter sauce mixed with the sliced tomatoes tastes more flavorful.)

Parsley (as a garnish…this part is super important especially with it comes to plating your dish. It’s like adding an accessory to your ensemble.)

Foil or parchment paper (we perfer parchment paper as the fish doesn’t stick but it’s up to you, boo.)

FIRST STEP: PRE HEAT YOUR OVEN AT 375 DEGREES or turn the numb to broil (typically 400 degrees). Line a baking tray with foil or parchment paper.

SECOND STEP: in a small sauce pan melt the garlic and butter at medium heat then add the lemon juice, chilly flakes, salt & pepper. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes then pour over the fresh salmon.

THIRD STEP: take the rosemary and lemon slices and place on top of the salmon…if you’re feeling adventurous…add more crush pepper and spice to your fish!)

FOURTH STEP: take the cherry tomatoes and surround the salmon on each side. Then pour the remaining of the lemon butter sauce to the tomatoes.)

LAST STEP: stick that fish in the oven for about 15-20 minutes (depends on how thick your fish is) and serve.

Oh if you want to look super fancy for your friends…garnish with parsley!
See…it’s so easy! You try and let us know by #cookingwithfeven!

xoxo,
