Since, the 10th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Concert Hall is coming up, and since we’re into architecture and classical music, we decided to get dressed up and take an impromptu trip to downtown LA to visit the stunning building designed by the brilliant, Frank Gehry.

Every time we visit the Walt Disney Concert Hall we’re always at aw at Frank Gehry’s use of metal (so modern and marvelous — kind of reminds us of the Sydney Opera House), but it turns out that the project went over budget and plans were revised, and in a cost effective way the originally designed stone exterior was replaced with a less expensive metal.

Visually the concert hall is stunning but the acoustics is what makes it such an incredible place…it’s really the way music should be experienced.

Here are some pictures we snapped courtesy of Gravity Pull to share with you all.

P.S. Feven’s one word to describe the concert hall — STRONG. Helena’s one word to describe the concert hall — GRAND
