Twinship Mama Chief…a designer now?

Our mother (who we love with all our hearts) is not THE most fashionable woman on the planet. We’ve given her a few Twinship makeovers in the past but for the most part our mother rocks to the beat of her own habesha drum.

A few weeks ago our mother decided to design a summer dress for us.  We would wear anything our mother designed, but when she called and told us that she was, “getting pink-puffy  flowers  from Jo-Ann Fabrics,” we prayed we weren’t going to end up looking like  pink piñatas!

Well, we got our specially designed dresses last Monday and to our surprise…we really love them! Could our mother actually be a couture designer deep down inside? Come on…can’t you spot a lil’ Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad in there? Ha!

Of course we had to pay tribute to our new fav dresses in true Twinship  style!  So we walked around our neighborhood, pairing our new dresses with our invisible crowns, not giving a care in the world!

Thank you mom for always making us feel special and for showing us that you don’t need a reason to look/be fabulous. You’re the best!

xoxo,

As twin sisters, we share everything including our love for makeup and in particular eyeliner! We will never forget our teenage years as cashiers in high school saving up enough money to buy our favorite beauty brands.

  1. How cute! Do you ladies have more pics that show off the fabric a little more. With the lighting its kind of hard to get a good look. The color looks great on yall! Your mommy did great!

  2. Aww I just love yalls posts!…you def remind me of me and my twin! I should do a post introducing her on my blog!…and I love the dresses as well!

  3. this is awesome! I agree, the dresses are lovely! my only wish is to see a bit more of the actual fabric- the color is a little faded – and it’s hard to see in the black and white pictures. I’d love to see more photos!

Your Ghanian dresses were awesome, and hey, maybe you all three should design a dress line sometime soon! did your mom sew them herself?! this is so beautiful, so lucky to have a such a sweet thoughtful mom!
