We are proud Eritreans, born in a refugee camp in Khashm el Gibra, Sudan. We’ve always considered ourselves lucky girls: lucky to have survived one of the worst famines in history, lucky our tiny mother survived childbirth to twins, lucky our father survived the war, lucky to be alive.
But today we feel especially lucky. Many of us sought refuge not out of choice but for survival. Can you imagine uprooting your entire life, leaving everything you know to start all over?
As twins, we have a special bond and understand: united we stand, divided we fall.
We all have a purpose. Let it not be to promote hate and discrimination but rather…love.
With love always #proudrefugee!
xoxo,
Feven & Helena #twinship

We are grateful to you! Love is life! xoxo
Sometimes the adversities we go through help us become the person we are proud of, and instead of hating what we’re going through, we should bless it because it is going to build us into that person that we are proud of being. History teaches us that unity is strength, and cautions us to submerge and overcome our differences in the quest for common goals.
Thank you for sharing your story and for being a great roll model with beautiful souls. I love you!
Thank you Queen! Love you!
