We often repeat those beautiful words by the phenomenal Dr. Maya Angelou when we need motivation. As political refugees from Eritrea, sometimes taking a moment to think of those we left behind in the refugee camp and our parent’s sacrifices motivates us to keep pushing! We firmly believe this journey is bigger than us. So when The Africa Channel asked us to be part of their Africa Everywhere series, we jumped at the opportunity knowing it would shed light on our motherland.

We know the Super Bowl is happening tomorrow, and you’re excited to see Lady Gaga’s halftime performance, but when you’re done with that, head over to The Africa Channel to see your favorite twins (yup, that’s us) on TV…again!  Hear us talk about our roots, why we created The Twinship and see us in our  favorite Eritrean dresses designed by our resilient, Aunt Sagad.
