Happy Friday, Bombshells!
This week’s twinship bombshell is the incomparable, and oh so beautiful, Mariah Carey aka MiMi.
Mariah Carey is EVERYTHING. Her voice is magical. In a day and age where musicians perform dressed in outrageous costumes, all MiMi needs is a diva gown, her butterfly ring, and a bejeweled mic to blow us away.
Mariah Carey is our bombshell for so many reasons. The most incredible fact is that she writes her own music. Have you ever noticed her lyrics? Her vocabulary is so impressive! Growing up, we learned new words listening to her music. For example:
“It’s a shame to be so euphoric and weak…” — Mariah Carey, Heartbreaker
or
“Thunder clouds hung around so threateningly ominously hovering and the sky opened wide showering…” — Mariah Carey, Fourth of July
or
“I was a wayward child with the weight of the world…” — Mariah Carey, Close My Eyes
Who uses the words euphoric, ominously or wayward in an r&b pop song? We swear, Mimi, is a vocabulary aficionado!
