“Which one is which?” “How can I tell you guys a part?” “When you look at pictures of yourselves…can you tell who is who?” When we were younger, a part of us wanted to respond with, “we may have split an egg, but not a brain.” Instead we politely answered the questions and explained, one of the ways to “tell us a part” was in the way we dressed.
Though we both opt for affordable-comfort, Feven prefers clothes with structure and wears mostly black and white, where as Helena prefers whimsical pieces with a splash of color. Subconsciously or consciously the questions asked influenced our style and our fashion became a source of individuality. Maybe we’re getting a bit philosophical here and “ain’t no body got time for that” so let’s just get to the meat of it shall we?
A friend of ours suggested that we start ‘Twinship Closet’ as a blog series. So, this first ‘Twinship Closet’ entry was inspired by our Twinship Bombshell, Liya Kebede and mens wear. Liya always looks beautiful in a tailored suit.
With good reason, Tom Ford is the obvious designer to love — his ‘suite & tie’ make us (for just one second), feel like Beyonce’s ‘If I Were a Boy.’ But then we snap back to reality and realize that perfume, makeup, eyeliner, and lipstick is really a part of our genetic make-up. Check out our pictures and a quick video of us after our “shoot” and let us know what you think!
xoxo,
Feven & Helena #twinship
